There might be nothing better than an at home newborn session, especially when it’s mixed with an incredibly beautiful family and home. Todd and Vanessa welcomed me into their home to meet their newborn daughter Tatum, and their older daughter Sloane. And let me tell you: it was AMAZING!! Their home looked like a model home straight out of a magazine, filled with goodies from Anthropologie and some of the most amazing furniture I’ve ever seen. I felt like the luckiest Alamo Heights newborn photographer in Texas to be able to spend some time with such an incredible family.

Vanessa is an incredible mother – I think we can all agree that giving birth is already hard enough. But to do it during the COVID-19 pandemic? And to deliver a baby while wearing a mask in the hospital? Unreal! I give her major kudos for doing all of that, just to bring Tatum into this world. And Todd? I’ve never seen a man who felt so lucky and proud to call his family his own; it was wonderful to see the love and pride all over his face!

Big sister Sloane blew me away with how excited she was to be Tatum’s big sister. She loved snuggling and loving on her new baby sister, and is already a pro at holding Tatum safely!

I feel so honored to have been able to document such an important time for Todd, Vanessa and their beautiful girls. I loved that they decided to add on some birth announcements and wall prints to their session, so they could share their joy with their friends and family for years to come, too!
