I am so excited to share with you this sweet baby girl newborn photos today! Baby Raegan is absolutely delicious and I just loved having her in my studio! I am so grateful to be a San Antonio newborn photographer <3

Raegan’s mama had started following me on social media early this year. After a month or two of liking my images on Facebook and Instagram, she reached out and wanted to set up her baby girl’s newborn portraits with me! Tara is a first time mom and wanted to go all out for her baby girl. She told me that she wanted Burgundy and purples for her daughter’s newborn session so I tried to style something beautiful for her.

The day of the session Raegan slept pretty much the whole time. Grandma also got to come and watch the photo process too! Baby Raegan’s skin looked so stinking perfect not here colors! She was also the sweet and sleepiest thing! I only got to see her open her eyes like one time when I was wrapping her up.

When I wrapped Raegan up in this gorgeous purple wrap, I told mama that baby Raegan looked just like a Russian stacking doll… they are called matryoshka. Once I said that, grandma perked up out of her seat all excited and said “We come from Russian decent!” How cool is that?

The photo below makes my heart so happy! Mom said she didn’t want to be in any photos… and while I totally can understand why being photographed right after having a baby doesn’t seem like much fun, I always encourage parents to take just one photo with their baby. I let them know that it isn’t really for them… it’s for their baby. That baby will grow up and cherish these photos that they take with their parents. We don’t live forever, and after we have gone, these images are literally priceless. Needless to say, after I explained this to Tara… she got on board and ended up ordering this image!
