We met in the wee hours of the morning due to the Texas summer heat. It was so peaceful being at Walker Ranch Park that early in the day. There was hardly anyone there… other than all the over achievers who wake up before dawn to go running. Well, that certainly was NOT me. I was there with my camera in tow to meet Brooke and her husband for their maternity session.
After spending about a month conversing over emails and phone calls I was excited to finally meet her. I could tell right away that she is a super cool chick, but of course I already got that impression when we spoke on the phone. She and Luke were super laid back and ready for anything I asked them to do. Ha, my kinda people! 😉 We started off doing some more casual shots of them together. I could tell that they really love each other and they just seem super cute together. I know they will be a good team when baby arrives. This will be their first baby and…. wait for it…. they are waiting to find out the sex of the baby until birth! I think that’s so awesome. So few people do that these days. In looking at the photos, you will see that her yellow flower crown was completely intentional as it is a gender neutral color. You might say, “Wow, that’s deep, Sam.” and my response is … yea I know 🙂 ha ha
And can I just say: I absolutely adore maternity shoots. Especially with first time mommies. It’s such a pivotal point in a woman’s life. I call myself privileged to be able to document some precious moments for them at this special time in their lives.
I cannot wait to meet baby Hugman!!
