San Antonio Family Photographer | The Crain Family

As a family photographer in San Antonio, fall is a busy time for me. Finally, after months and months of oppressive heat that makes you question your very life, there is a much needed cool down and everyone wants to be outside. Naturally people start thinking about the holidays and family photos for that Christmas card – or just because. One family session I shot that past fall was for my dear friend Danielle. Danielle is a busy single mom of three and time is always on short supply. Thankfully, we figured out an evening to hop over to a local park and snap some shots of her and the boys. Let me tell you about how I know Danielle…

Several years ago I was at our neighborhood pool during a sultry summer day. In an attempt to break up another loooong hot San Antonio afternoon, I once again drug my boys to the pool for some playtime. From across the pool I saw an adorable blonde chick whom I had never seen before. Well, before long I made my way over to her, introduced myself and we instantly started talking about boy mom life and how she had just moved into my neighborhood. Little did I know, that on that day, she and I would become dear friends and journey through life and motherhood together. Over the years there have been many a phone call/text asking “are my kids at your house?” and numerous occasions of our boys playing together outside till the sun went down. We’ve done trick or treating together and celebrated our kids birthdays. Living only seven houses down from me, we are always waving to each other as we pass in the street and at school pick. She has made me realize what having an awesome neighbor and friend is really like. Danielle’s friendship means so so much to me. I am blessed to call her friend and privileged to be able to photograph her family each year. I just love doing The Crain Family photos and watching her sweet boys grow taller and taller… and taller!

Oh yeah, she’s also kicking ass in the real estate game and rocking the single mom life with her three boys. I’m proud of this lady and what she has managed to overcome and accomplish these past few years. As moms we need to support one another and lift each other up! We need to be each other cheerleaders, because this mom thang is hard work. Seriously it takes a tribe. If you need a solid boss babe on your side then Danielle is your gal 😉
