Studio Newborn Session with Baby Nico

Baby Nico was in the studio earlier this month for his studio newborn photo session. Of course, we started at 10Am – like I always do for my newborn sessions, and we finished in about 2.5 hours. He was such a sleepy and squishy baby!

I do my best to prep my clients for their studio newborn photos sessions. There is a lot of planning that goes into your session and I want you to be well prepared and know exactly what to expect. That is why I send over a detailed prep guide to all my clients that book a newborn session with me. It goes into details like what to bring, how to dress them, actions you should take before your session, and food to avoid if you are a nursing mama.

Thankfully, Nico’s mama followed my directions to a tee and the session went off without a hitch! As always, I started the session only posing table and did my nude posing workflow. After that we moved onto prop shots! For Nico’s session, I used. box, a bed, and a wooden bowl with beach wood detail. After the props, I went over and used my dog bed. Yes, you read that right, I use a dog bed for all my sessions. It the perfect tool needed for those areal shots above 😉

Below are the images that mama selected from her session! Take a look!
