Meet the Newcomb family. They were all so sweet and full of energy the morning of our shoot at Walker Ranch Historic Landmark Park. If you haven’t already been to this park then you have got to check it out! There is so much to do there and they have, I think, one of the best playgrounds in San Antonio!
When I first spoke to Beth about doing their family photos I immediately got excited. Beth and her husband have a three year old son and a five month old baby girl. Having two children those ages can make for a super fun session filled with opportunities to capture some really precious moments between the parents and kiddos. Perhaps that why Beth started blogging when she had her babes. She wanted to share her experiences as a mother. You should really check out her blog. She is always keeping’ it real and posting the most adorable photos of her littles on her Instagram.
I always try to create moments between family members that are natural and show how much love they have for each other. However, in order for that to happen we try to shoot when the kiddos are most happy, so we planned on a morning session.
Not only are children usually happier in the morning but it’s also not too terribly hot yet.
And oh boy did the Newcomb family score on weather that day! Seriously, it was like one of four cool days we have had so far this fall her in South Texas.

When I started snapping my camera of this family I could tell right away that they all genuinely enjoy being around each other. I just cannot get enough of all those cute expressions that kids kept giving to me! That is a great “plus” for shooting family photos at a park is letting the little ones run around and be silly and catch them laughing.
